Sensor Tower announced 2021 Q2 top grossing mobile game in Japan in October 2021.
The top revenue generating mobile app in Japan was Uma Musume Pretty Derby from Cygames with more than $361 million in player spending across the App Store and Google Play, which represented 129.6 percent growth from Q1 2021.
Monster Strike from Mixi was the second highest earning mobile game in Japan for Q2 2021 with $197 million in gross revenue.
The next top grossing game was Puzzle & Dragons from GungHo, followed by Pro Baseball Spirits A from Konami and Dragon Quest Walk from Square Enix
According to Sensor Tower, "After hitting a new record of $5.1 billion in Q1 2021, player spending in Japan dropped to $4.6 billion in Q2, though this still represented 7.3 percent year-over-year growth from Q2 2020."
